13 Reasons Why is a Netflix original following Clay Jensen after his friend Hannah commits suicide. She leaves 13 mysterious tapes detailing why she decided to end her life. Despite the show mainly following Clay we also get to see perspectives from the people mentioned in the tapes and Hannah herself. The show is popular for a reason as is incredibly well done and will definitely make you cry more then once. It's depiction of suicide and Hannah's slow spiral into depression feel very real and really make me feel for her character. Despite this I found the way Hannah dealt with things a bit annoying, she never seemed to discuss anything with her parents and should have gone to someone sooner. I still feel for her character despite that and I still tear up when I watch it. Despite there being 4 seasons the first is still regarded as the best. It's definitely worth a watch if you haven't already and is great to binge on a rainy weekend.
