The Boys is a amazon original series with two series. It's the perfect mix of dark humor and brilliant story telling. In a world of superheroes we follow the story of Hughie (a normal guy who works in a electronic store) who loses his girlfriend and wants revenge. The story starts with the violent death of Hughie's girlfriend who was run over by a superhero with superspeed. After an encounter with Billy Butcher (another man who lost his girlfriend to superheroes), they accidentally kill a superhero together, they have to run away from the law and find out the dark truth about these superheroes.

Overall I loved this series. It's full of blood and banter and it makes for a masterpiece of television. Despite the first season being significantly better then the second its still worth a watch. The second season continues the story but still feels weak in comparison to the first. I'd definitely recommend this to people who love dark humor, but I also think its great for anyone over the age of 16. One of my favorite series this year and defiantly worth a watch.
